Does Sarah Palin think that the Pledge of Allegiance was written by the Founding Fathers? Daily Kos says she does. (Warning, the link on the DK page returns no result and says that the blog linked to does not exist--was it, maybe, taken down since last week? The world wonders.)
Note: One of the comments to the Daily Kos post said that Palin's response reminded him of Ma Ferguson, Governor of Texas in the '20's, who was quoted as saying, “If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it ought to be good enough for the children of Texas.”

I'm a little surprised that McCain hasn't thrown her overboard so she could spend needed time with her family. He can do that himself before she makes her acceptance speech I've read. After that it gets complicated.
You are expecting too much of McC. This is the man who--putting aside the good of the country and the premises of his campaign (i.e., that Obama is not qualified to be President)--chose naked ambition in picking Palin. He is not about to mortally wound his campaign (remember what happened to McGovern after Tom Eagleton was forced to resign from the ticket) by dumping her now.
