As this blogger points out, Michelle Obama has taken a lot of heat for saying that "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country." Yet Todd Palin was, for years, a member of a party that preaches secession. Should he be judged by the same standard?
(Is there a legitimate distinction between a potential First Lady and a prospective Second Gentleman? To some extent, maybe.)
