For the third time in a week, Hillary Clinton has suggested that John McCain would make a better President than Barack Obama. Today, she suggested that she and McCain had crossed "the commander-in-chief threshhold," but that as for her fellow Democrat, "you'll have to ask Senator Obama with respect to his candidacy."
Does Sen. Clinton think that building up the GOP nominee-in-waiting at the expense of Barack Obama is good strategy? Does she think that this kind of scorched-earth campaigning will get her Democratic votes? Does she think that giving the Republicans ammunition for the fall campaign is the way a loyal Democrat should act?
If McCain wins, we won't have to blame Ralph Nader.

Talk about nasty!!
She's hateful.
Oncer again she proves to the nation that she does not have the best judgment.
And it's all about judgment.
Jeez - what the hell was she thinking.
She's thinking that Obama has come on what is supposed to be her stage and is upstaging her. She will do whatever it takes to take him down. She's probing for a weak spot which will catch on in the media and to provoke him into a tirade to which she can respond with a comment like, "So much for his bringing people together". I'm horrified to say that someone I know and had thought to have brains won't vote for Obama because she saw him in that African getup and said he's Muslim. When it was pointed out to her that he's a member of her own denomination, UCC, she said, "Well I don't know". Hillary knows that there are millions of voters who buy into this crap, perhaps because there's some hidden racism they feel, but can hide it behind a facade of religious conviction.
This is one very nasty, shrewd and reprehensible person. We can only hope that most Americans will be on to her and reject what she's trying to do to get her own way. You can count on more tears, too. As a pundit said, she's playing the media like coaches play the refs, complain enough and they might give you a break.
Aligning with McCain on any basis is making a pact with the devil which didn't work out so well for Faust.
Jeez, it worked. Hillary provoked Samantha Power into calling her a monster, and Power has resigned soon after Clinton demanged her resignation.
Using the sports analogy again, it's the guy who throws the retaliatory second punch that gets caught and punished.
