Duh-uh

"Vice-President Dick Cheney said he was wrong two years ago when he declared that the Iraq insurgency was in its 'last throes.'''

Presumably, this will herald a new era of candor from this administration, in which the rose-colored glasses will be tossed away and hard facts admitted freely.

Right.

Oh we are to accept him as credible now? Ah ... no.

One year ago, following a speech in Washington, Cheney was asked if he still believed the insurgency was in its final throes, and he responded by saying "I do."

So even as recent as one year ago he was still lying. For me, I'll pass.

What's that old saying:
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice .... you can't fool me twice!
